The Lind Boracay Opens Yìm: Authentic Thai Flavors Arrive in Boracay This December

Boracay Island, Philippines – The Lind Boracay announces the opening of Yìm, the first authentic Thai restaurant on Boracay Island, welcoming guests starting December 16, 2025.

Located inside the beachfront resort in Station 1, Yìm brings focused, flavor-forward Thai cooking to one of the country’s most visited destinations.

Yìm, which means “smile” in Thai, is designed as a relaxed, confident space where guests can enjoy straightforward Thai food with clear, bold flavors. The concept centers on sharing: plates meant for the middle of the table, food that invites conversation, and drinks that pair well with heat and spice. A mix of indoor seating and open-air spots allows guests to choose between a casual, buzzy atmosphere or a slower, more intimate meal.

The Yìm menu was crafted by Siriporn “Chef Joy” Krasae-at, who was born and trained in Thailand, but brings both everyday Thai cooking and professional kitchen experience to Boracay. Her role is to keep the food authentic and grounded in how Thai dishes are actually prepared and enjoyed, while adapting to what works best with local ingredients.

The menu is anchored on bold, balanced flavors built on key Thai elements: bright citrus, fresh herbs, deep spice, and savory sauces. Guests can expect core dishes such as curries, stir-fries, grilled meats, and refreshing salads, alongside a few regional favorites. Traditional techniques like stir-frying, steaming, and grilling are paired with fresh local seafood and produce. Every dish is designed to be direct, satisfying, and memorable, with spice levels that can be adjusted to preference.

The 70-seater restaurant also reflects The Lind’s commitment to raising the level of dining on the island. The Lind Boracay was recently included in the MICHELIN Guide, the only resort in Boracay to receive this recognition. This milestone supports the hotel’s push to bring destination-worthy food and beverage concepts to its guests and to the local community. With Yìm, The Lind strengthens its position as a property where guests can enjoy both thoughtful design and serious food in one address.

“Boracay has long been known for its beaches and nightlife. With Yìm, we want to add something different to the conversation,” shares Zsolt SIket, Vice President for Operations and Business Development of The Lind Boracay. “We are proud to open the island’s first authentic Thai restaurant, with Chef Joy curating the kitchen and serving food that is bright, punchy, and true to its roots.”

Located within The Lind’s beachfront grounds, Yìm is positioned as a go-to option for hotel guests and walk-in diners alike, whether for a relaxed lunch after the beach, sunset drinks and bar snacks, or a full dinner built around shared plates. Some signature dishes include:

  • Green curry with coconut milk, eggplant, sweet basil, and chili
  • Grilled marinated Australian lamb cutlets with nam jim jiew, star anise, and cinnamon stick
  • Tom yum, a spicy prawn or chicken soup with lemongrass, galangal, tomato, mushrooms, and chili

The beverage list features easy-to-enjoy cocktails, fresh juices, and a curated wine selection that complements with spice and acidity. The menu includes vegetarian-friendly and seafood-forward options, making Yìm a practical choice for couples, families, and groups with different preferences.

Yìm opens December 16, 2025, for lunch and dinner, 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. For reservations, guests may contact The Lind Boracay at eats@thelindhotels.com / +63 2 8835 88888 or visit www.thelindhotels.com, and follow @thelindboracay on Instagram and Facebook.
