Key Responsibilities

Job Summary

In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of The Lind Hotels, under the supervision of the Head Pool Butler, the Pool Butler primarily serves as a key point of contact for Guests and VIP Guests throughout their stay at the hotel. The Pool Butler should be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered by the hotel and also about the local vicinity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follows all the guest needs until they are completed to the total guest satisfaction.
  • Manage to greet all guest pleasantly and ensure sufficient supply of fresh towels to all walk in and in house guests;
  • Provide optimal level of services to all guests and ensure compliance to facility policy;
  • Monitor inventory of all pool towels and maintain adequacy in same and manage drop and pick up of towels from laundry;
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guest according to company standards.
  • Present menus to the guests and answer questions about menu items and making recommendations upon request;
  • Take orders from guest for food and beverages;
  • Responsible for the speed and efficiency of serving food and beverage to all guest.
  • Check with guest to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems;
  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes;
  • Responsible for cleaning tables after the guest finish dining;
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance;
  • Take directions and guidance from managers;
  • Assist swimmers specially kids when in pool;
  • Understand and abides by all safety rules, emergency procedures and prevention regulation;
  • Keep station stocked and cleaned throughout the shift;
  • Observes all rules of safety and sanitation in relation to station operation
  • Perform other duties instructed by the managers and supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of our specific industry a plus;
  • Service industry experience;
  • Outstanding communicator both verbally and written.

Qualifications

  • Excellent grooming standards;
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service;
  • Physical mobility and stamina is required, ability to follow instruction and detailed oriented;
  • Must be able to work overnight, weekends and holidays;
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and, efficiently with team members, guests, and management;
  • Must have an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude;
  • Knowledge of POS systems;
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, walking, stooping, handling, and moving objects up to 50-70 pounds;
  • Food Handler Certificate;
  • Must be able to work and handle outside work environment in extreme heat;
  • Must be a self-starter and be team oriented;

Experience

  • Experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel;
  • 1-2 years of  related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
