Key Responsibilities

Job Summary 

Director of Marketing and Communication holds an executive position of overseeing all aspects of a company’s image or product marketing and facilitating and enhancing the company’s relationships with other businesses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a role model and play a strategic role within the organization to impact company-wide decisions.
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations plan that will enhance the Organization’s image.
  • Streamline all Organization marketing, communications and public relations activities and Materials, including publications, media relations, client acquisition, etc.
  • Ensure consistent communication of image and position throughout the Organization, and public.
  • Conducts market research to determine the needs and interests to align with the company’s existing products.
  • Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization publications.
  • Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with the target media and appropriate responses to media requests.
  • Act as the Organization’s representative with the media.
  • Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, logo, brochures, etc.
  • Develop, coordinate and oversee programs, technical assistance and resource materials to assist in marketing and communication.
  • Provide counsel to the Team on marketing, communications and public relations.
  • Ensure that the Organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinates and oversees this activity. Monitor trends.
  • Leads projects as assigned, such as cause-related marketing and special events.
  • Responsible for achieving marketing/communications/public relations mission,
  •    goals and financial objectives. Ensure that evaluation systems relate to these goals and objectives and report progress to the executive office and board.
  • Explores and adapts to new channels, methods, and platforms to optimise marketing communications. 
  • Oversee advertising, branding, and product promotion in all marketing and media mediums.
  • Oversee planning for trade shows and conferences to showcase products.
  • Develops budgets and internal and external resources for communication program delivery.

Required Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven skills in leadership, strong teamwork, working well under pressure, and being self-motivated;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills. 
  • Organizational excellence.
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, organizational and training abilities. 
  • A successful record in senior marketing roles and experience in the industry.
  • Familiarity with essential digital marketing tools and technologies.
  • An eye for innovation and the willingness to take the initiative.
  • A healthy level of diplomacy and discretion while dealing with customers and stakeholders at all levels.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree related to marketing, sales or advertising.
  • Experience in a luxury brand or marketing and advertising company
  • 5 to 7 years of managerial experience.
