Directly Reports to: Duty Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary 

In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of The Lind Hotels, under the supervision of the Duty Engineer, the Duty Technician is responsible for the effective operations and maintenance of all operational equipment, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation system of the resort as well as its building decoration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make sure that all lightings, electrical outlets, etc. are operational and conform with engineering standard and safety roles.
  • Make necessary reports on the activities or recorded in the logbook.
  • When in doubt, consult the immediate superior or department head.
  • Render overtime or changes of work schedule as the situation may require without delay.
  • Make the list of materials needed for the repair.
  • Ensures that all public / staff toilet’s lavatory, faucets, toilet bowls and drainage system are carried properly and conforms to the operations standards.
  • Ensure all kitchen drainage systems are working properly.
  • Performs and updates preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensures good housekeeping and orderliness in his working area.
  • Receives and records work request and notifies Duty Engineer on any completely done work order items for its prompt update in the system
  • Coordinates closely with the Duty Engineer for all work to be done and any problem encountered during his duty.
  • Immediately notifies Duty Engineer of any unusual occurrences on the plumbing related fixtures and accessories.
  • Make sure that all standard procedures of maintenance are adhered to.
  • Makes sure that all works are done or services on each day and every area are properly recorded on his logbook.
  • The situation may require without delay
  • Performs other tasks as may be required or assigned by the Facilities Manager and the Duty Engineer.

Required Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail;

  • Time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure to ensure the efficient running of an event;
  • Project management experience;
  • Problem-solving skills and diplomacy;
  • Relevant technical knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Engineering course
  • TESDA NC2 Certified and Fire Safety Training certified
  • Must be dependable
  • Must be mature and flexible with the ability to maintain calm in stressful situations
  • Must take pride in The Lind Hotels standard of excellence
  • Must be guest service oriented
  • Must be able to work efficiently with a variety of people
  • Must be extremely safety conscious
  • Must be able to work overnight, weekends and holidays

Experience

  • Experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel;
  • 2-3 years of related experience in a hotel or resort operations
